A little over a week ago I was given a recommendation to read this book, as I prepared for an interview. In normal circumstances this would be a generally easy read for most people. I think a nice addition for us kinesthetic/visual types would be to have so interactive samples on the CD that came with it. Overall, the concepts are pretty easy to pick up, as the book goes through the step-by-step process of developing and understanding the world of database design, as well as some of its history. It covers many of the do’s and don’ts the go into building a complete relational database.
So if you work with databases at all and are looking for a better understanding of how they are built or many of the potential problems that go into DB design; I highly recommend this book.
